About Me

Roca Nivaria pool

Hello there curious ones.

My name is Breanne, I run My Healthy Curves and I live in a little Hampshire village near Winchester. I started this blog at the end of 2015 when I was having a hard time in work and life and I needed something to give me focus and keep me busy.

When I started this blog, I aimed to document my health and fitness goals, primarily my weight loss journey. But, after suffering a serious case of wanderlust I started venturing into the travel world too.

Active travel & active days out are now one of the main focus’ of My Healthy Curves, as is wellness, taking it from just your average health & fitness blog, to a hybrid of ideas and adventures.

Swanage Camping Trip

After spending 4 years working around Europe I found it difficult to migrate back into normal society and put all my efforts into health and fitness, however, I couldn’t shake the travel blues. Travelling from Venice to the Loire Valley, Paris to Barcelona & finally finishing up in the French Riviera, I’ve explored my way around numerous countries & cities. So life back in the UK seemed mediocre and boring in comparison.

After feeling uninspired by a boring “real” UK job, I turned my motivation to health and fitness. Due to the rich diet of alcohol, fatty foods and cigarettes I lived on while working in Europe I had plenty of excess weight to keep me busy.

You are amazing. There are many people out there who need to know this story. The journey of health & fitness can be overwhelming and if people feel alone, they may fall by the wayside. But, if they know there are other people out there who have been & are going through the same struggles they are, then it might just keep a few more of those people motivated so they don’t fall prey to the negativity around them. Thank you for your blog, this type of reason is why I started my blog as well. Looking forward to all the future posts! signing up for your newsletter today.
